I think that the high cost of Fountas and Pinnell might be one of the biggest issues with it. For my assessment, DIBELS, the cost is really low, with free versions available to schools as well.

I also agree that thus far this is the most expensive assessment program we have seen. It seems to be very effective and useful, but the cost may deter schools from utilizing the program.

I agree with those who have previously posted that this is a very expensive assessment. I also agree that although the assessment appears to be effective, useful, and has limited bias some schools may simply not be able to afford the materials.

I think that Fountas and Pinnell is expensive but I think that it's definitely worth purchasing. It is unfortunate that some schools might not be able to afford it due to it's price and I wonder if the assessment's company has ever considered lowering the price.
